MA
(Financial Economics) Program
The
Admission modalities are with reference to the MA (Financial Economics) Program
(2011-13) offered by Faculty of Social Sciences, IFHE.
Eligibility
-
Graduates
in the disciplines of Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Science, Commerce,
Management and Engineering (English Medium) with minimum of 55% marks are
eligible.

Final
year students awaiting results in the above mentioned disciplines are also
eligible.
At
least the applicant must have studied mathematics at the higher secondary level
or should be able to demonstrate equivalent mathematical ability. Those having
non-economic background has to undergo preparatory classes in Economics.
Applicants
who have appeared for final year graduation examination and awaiting results
are also eligible to apply provided they complete their examinations (including
practical examinations) before July 04, 2011. The admission of
applicants will, however remain provisional until they produce marksheets
establishing their eligibility. The last date for submitting the proof of
marksheets is November 01, 2011, failing which the provisional
admission will automatically stand cancelled.
Selection
Process
The
selection into the MA (Financial Economics) Program is made through application
and interviews. Eligible applicants are required to apply for the program using
the Application Form and the shortlisted candidates will be called for
interview and admission decision is conveyed on the same day. Due weightage is
given to academic distinctions, achievements in sports and extra-curricular and
co-curricular activities.
Interviews
The
shortlisted candidates will be called for interview on June 2 & 3, 2011
at Hyderabad. The interview for each candidate will be completed in one day.
The
interview panel will focus on testing the attitude, aptitude and aspiration of
the candidates. The admission decision will be communicated immediately after
the interview. All the selected candidates will be required to pay the
admission fee and the tution fee on or before June 24, 2011.
Original certificates should be produced for verification at the time of
interview along with one photocopy. The original certificates will be returned
after verification.
