  • The BSc Psychology program is offered by the ICFAI School of Social Sciences (ISoSS), a constituent of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE).
  • In line with the New Education Policy (NEP) of India, the ICFAI School of Social Sciences now freshly offers a 3-year BSc Psychology, a 4-year BSc Psychology (Honors), and a 4-year BSc Psychology (Honors with Research) UG Program. These three fresh, career-focused programs are campus-based and involve full-time study. Both programs are designed to transform students into well-trained graduates in psychology with a firm grip and a clear understanding of the fundamentals and nuances of psychology. All students will have the option to exit with a 3-year Psychology UG Degree. Likewise, students who initially choose to pursue the 3-year BSc program will be permitted to opt for any one of the two 4-year programs later.
  • Students choosing the 4-year BSc Psychology (Honors) program will develop deep specializations in psychology courses, and will hence enjoy an edge in the context of either securing superior career placements or pursuing higher degree programs in top-rated institutions in India or abroad. Students choosing the 4-year BSc Psychology (Honors with Research) program will be provided a solid grounding in research approaches and methods in psychology to prepare them for exciting careers in either academics (institutional teaching and research) or health care and hospital settings, human resource departments in corporate, counseling and guidance centers, community development and welfare departments, etc. They will be trained to design and conduct research in psychology and draw relevant conclusions. These students will be formally and strongly recommended to pursue higher degree programs, including Ph.D., in top-rated institutions in India and abroad.

Selection Process

The selection is based on academic merit and personal interview. The applicant should fulfil the minimum age requirements as prescribed by the respective Board through which the applicant would have succeeded in the qualifying examination.

The Program comprises of 47 courses (43 Compulsory Courses and 4 Courses from two Elective Streams). In addition there is a Summer Internship Program at the end of the second year to provide corporate exposure to the students. Students who secure 75% marks and above in the first six semesters and wish to undertake research at the undergraduate level can choose a research stream in the fourth year. They undertake the Research Project / Dissertation in semester VIII of the program

Admission Modalities

The Admission modalities are with reference to the B.Sc. (Psychology) Program offered by ICFAI School of Social Sciences (ISoSS), a constituent of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), Hyderabad.

Eligibility

Pass in Class XII or equivalent examination with an aggregate of 50% and above marks (any discipline) with English as medium of instruction.

The applicant should fulfill the minimum age requirements as prescribed by the respective board through which the applicant has appeared for the qualifying examination. If an applicant is found ineligible even at a later date, after admission into the program, his/her admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the applicant. The decision of the Admissions Committee regarding eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

The selected applicants will be given Provisional Admission letters on the day of Interview. The provisional admission is subject to payment of admission fee.

Applicants who have appeared for qualifying examination and awaiting results are also eligible to apply provided they complete their examinations (including practical examinations) before July 29, 2025. The admission of applicants will, however remain provisional until they produce marksheets establishing their eligibility. The last date for submitting the proof of Class XII (or equivalent) / Graduation (or equivalent) marksheet is September 17, 2025, failing which the provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled.

1. Online Application

Applicants can apply online by filling up the Application Form available at: www.ifheindia.org/isoss and make payment of Rs. 500 towards the cost of an application using Credit / Debit Card (Visa / Master Card) / Internet Banking through secure internet payment gateway. Applicants applying online should upload their passport size color photograph while filling the Online Application. The Prospectus will be sent to such applicants.

2. Download of Application Form

Applicants can fill their details online and download the Application Form from: www.ifheindia.org/isoss and send it to the Admissions Office along with the Bank Demand Draft of Rs. 500 drawn on Scheduled Commercial Bank towards the cost of the application in favor of “IFHE Prospectus-Fee A/c-ISOSS” payable at Hyderabad.

3. Fill the Application Form

Applicants can fill in the application form and send it to the Admissions Office.

All applicants are mandatorily required to indicate their e-mail ID, as all important information relating to programs will be intimated to the applicants by e-mail. Similarly all applicants are required to send their communication by e-mail only to: admissions. isoss@ifheindia.org

The selection for the program is made based on merit. Eligible applicants are required to apply for the program using the Application Form. Final selection will be made based on Personal Interview and past academic record

Caution Deposit

Students are required to pay a caution deposit of Rs. 10,000 for B.Sc. Psychology Program along with the first semester fee. The caution deposit will be refunded without interest to the students on completion of the program. Caution Deposit is not adjustable against Program Fee and other dues.

Accommodation and Transportation

Limited hostel rooms are available at the campus. Day Scholars can avail bus facility from City to IFHE Campus on payment basis.

Merit Scholarships

IFHE offers two types of merit scholarships to the students pursuing the B.Sc. Psychology Program.

A. The Scholarships based on past academic record.

B. The Scholarships based on Semester-wise Performance.

Students will be awarded merit scholarships based on percentage of aggregate marks achieved in qualifying examination. Scholarship will continue semester after semester only on maintaining the minimum 6.0 GPA in the previous semester. The details are as presented in the following table.

* Above scholarship amount would be adjusted equally in 8 installments for 4 year program and 6 installments for 3 year program in each semester fee payable.

Up to 10% of the students of the batch will be awarded merit scholarships based on the Semester-wise performance in the B.Sc. (Psychology) Program (Details presented in the table given below). These scholarships are awarded in addition to the scholarships based on the past academic record.
