Admission Modalities
M.Tech: The procedure for admission is through GATE or ICFAI Masters Entrance Test(IMET) 2025. Candidates who have qualified in GATE (2023 onwards) can directly appear for an interview.
The Admission Modalities are with reference to the campus-based M.Tech Program offered by the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), Hyderabad.
Admission Process for PG Programs of ICFAI Tech
M.Tech: Admission into the M.Tech programs is common to all PG Programs:
GATE / ICFAI Master’s Entrance Test (IMET 2025) Qualified candidates are eligible.
Candidates who have qualified in GATE (2023 onwards) need not write the ICFAI Master’s Entrance Test 2025. They can directly appear for Interview.
IMET 2025: ICFAI Master’s Entrance Test (IMET 2025) is an aptitude test conducted by IcfaiTech, IFHE, for students seeking admission into the PG Programs of ICFAI Tech. The test is of one hour duration. The question paper consists of 50 multiple choice questions with duration of 50 minutes.

- For M.Tech program exam will be on:
- Section 1: Verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning. (Refer to GRE syllabus);
- Section 2: Basic programming skills in programming languages (C/C++); Section 3: Mathematics/ Probability and Statistics.
Personal Interview: Candidates based on the performance in GATE (from 2023 onwards) will be called for Personal Interview at ICFAI Tech, IFHE, Hyderabad on July 24, 2025.

Students have to pay the program fee at the beginning of each semester, as per the due dates mentioned in the table below.

Caution Deposit
All students are required to pay a caution deposit of Rs. 10,000 along with the first semester fee. The caution deposit will be refunded without interest after adjusting for dues, if any, to students on completion of the program.
