Applicants have to appear for the ILSAT 2026 at the Test Center selected / specified on the Admit Card. Computer experience or typing skills are not required to take the test. ILSAT 2026 is a self directed Computer Based Test.
Please note that the applicants must arrive 45 minutes before the scheduled time of the test. This allows time to sign-in and for staff to verify the identification and documentation.
- Admit Card: Applicants must bring the Admit Card to the test center. Applicants will not be allowed to appear for the test without the Admit Card.
- Required Identification: Applicant must present the original and valid (non-expired) form of photo identification before appearing for the test. The name on the photo identification must match with the name as entered in the ILSAT 2026 registration.
Acceptable forms of photo identification are limited to:
Passport; Aadhaar card, College ID or a notarized affidavit with photo, signature, date of birth and residential address. Photocopies of the original are not acceptable.
Note: Applicants are not allowed to appear for ILSAT 2026 without submitting appropriate photo identification.
References:
No reference materials, papers or study materials are allowed at the test center. If any candidate is found with these or any other aids, he/she will not be allowed to continue the test and the answers will not be evaluated.

Model Test Papers:
The Law School has no obligation to provide model test papers. However, it will try to post model test papers on the website which may be downloaded model test papers from website for practice purpose. However the test pattern may be modified without any notification to the applicant.

Selection Process
Personal Interviews:
The selection for admission into the program is based on merit secured in the ILSAT 2026 and performance in the personal interview and previous academic record.
Provisional Admission:
Selection letters for provisional admission will be issued to the applicants selected on the day of interview. The provisional admission is subject to payment of admission fee and verification of testimonials.
Once the applicants are given provisional admission, they should report for registration into first semester of the program on July 09 - 12, 2026 along with the required certificates and program fee.
Submission of Self-Attested Photocopies of Certificates:
All successful applicants will have to submit self-attested photocopies of relevant certificates (a set of Class X and Class XII Mark sheets, Birth Certificate, Transfer / Migration Certificate and Completion Certificate of the qualifying examination from the respective board) at the time of registration along with the original certificates. The original certificates will be returned to the applicants within a week’s time after verification. If an applicant is found ineligible even after admission into the program, his/her admission is liable to be cancelled without notice. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the applicants. The decision of the Admissions Committee regarding eligibility and admission of applicant shall be final.

- Graduation in Five Year Integrated / Three Year Law or equivalent Degree recognized by The Bar Council of India with a minimum of 50% Marks or equivalent CGPA.
- Should have qualified in the ILSAT (PG) 2026 conducted by ICFAI Law School, IFHE, Hyderabad.
- The students appearing for final year examinations and awaiting results may also apply for the ILSAT (PG) 2026.
- The admission however, remain provisional until they produce mark sheets establishing their eligibility.
- The last date for submitting the proof of eligibility is September 18, 2026, failing which the provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled.

Ph.D. Program in Law
The following are the admission modalities for admission into Ph.D (full-time and part-time) offered by ICFAI Law School, a constituent of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), Hyderabad.

Candidates registered for full time research shall work and conduct research on a full time basis under a recognized research supervisor. The minimum duration of Ph.D. course for a full time research scholar is three (3) years from the date of admission.
Candidates registered as part time research scholars shall work and conduct research for four (4) years under a recognized supervisor. Candidates seeking admission as part time research scholars have to submit no objection certificate from the employer to pursue Ph.D. Course and also during summer term for attending classes of Ph.D. course work conducted in the first two years of the program. The IFHE fellowship will not be available to part-time Ph.D. program.
A candidate is eligible for admission into Ph.D. program both full time/part time if he/she obtained not less than 55% marks at the Post Graduate Degree in Law from a recognized University. Part – time Ph.D. is open to all. However, NOC from employer is required if the candidate is employed.
Admission into Ph.D. full time/ part time program in Law shall be through Ph.D. eligibility test followed by Ph.D. admission interview. All the candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria shall appear for the Ph.D. eligibility test. The candidates who are qualified in UGC-JRF/NET or SLET are exempted from appearing Ph.D. eligibility test.
The eligibility test is of objective type with multiple choice questions covering the subjects of Research Methodology, Constitutional Law, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Law of Torts, Corporate Law, Contract Law and Jurisprudence. Duration of the test is of 2 hours. The minimum marks for qualifying the Ph.D. eligibility test shall be 50%.
Candidates who have qualified in the Ph.D. eligibility test shall be called for Ph.D. Admission Interview. After the Ph.D. Admission Interview the list of eligible candidates for registration for full time and part time Ph.D. program will be finalized.

The selection for admission into the program is based on entrance test conducted at all India level and personal interview. Due weightage will be given to academic distinctions, achievements in sports and extra-curricular and co-curricular activities.
Provisional selection letters for admission will be issued to the selected applicants. The provisional admission is subject to payment of admission / program fee, and verification of testimonials.
If an applicant is found ineligible even after admission accorded into the program, his/her admission is liable to be cancelled without notice. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents of the students. The decision of the Admissions Committee regarding eligibility and admission of applicant shall be final.
