The function, a precursor to another important milestone in the history of Icfai Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), a deemed-to-be University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, was celebrated with pomp. The Center for Women Development initiative aims to take a proactive role towards empowering women both at home and at work place. The center aims to address issues confronted by women and go beyond on a positive note.

At IBS, Hyderabad the ratio of female students is more than 50%. A more or less similar ratio also exists among the Faculties and Research Scholars at IBS. These numbers by themselves reflect a significant mark in terms of policy of our institutions in women development. It can be said that on the level of Human development, education and knowledge being an important variable in the Human Development Index (HDI), our University is already contributing its share. Also, our law school at University is held by Prof. Hemalatha, our co-ordinator finance is held by Prof. Vijayalakshmi, our Associate Dean (MDP) is held by Prof. Maleshwari and our Research Scholars Program co-ordinator is Prof. Sindhuja – all women in high positions in our University.
