Admission Modalities for M.Tech, M.Sc Programs

The Admission Modalities are with reference to the campus-based M.Sc and M.Tech Programs offered by the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), Hyderabad.

Admission Process for Full-time and Part-time PG Programs of ICFAI Tech.

Admission into the PG Programs for the Academic Year 2024-25 will be conducted in two Phases:

PG Programs: M.Tech: Admission into the M.Tech programs is common to all PG Programs:

• GATE / ICFAI Master’s Entrance Test (IMET 2024) Qualified candidates are eligible. Candidates who have qualified in GATE (2022 onwards) need not write the ICFAI Master’s Entrance Test 2023. They can directly appear for Interview.

IMET 2024: ICFAI Master’s Entrance Test (IMET 2024) is an aptitude test conducted by IcfaiTech, IFHE, for students seeking admission into the PG Programs of ICFAI Tech. The test is of one hour duration. The question paper consists of 50 multiple choice questions with duration of 50 minutes.

• For M.Tech (Digital Electronics and Communication System):

For M.Tech program exam will be on:

Section 1: Verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning. (Refer to GRE syllabus);
Section 2: Basic programming skills in programming languages (C/C++); Section 3: Mathematics/ Probability and Statistics.

For M.Sc program exam will be on:

• For M.Sc (Physics): B.Sc UGC syllabus
• For M.Sc (Chemistry): B. Sc UGC syllabus

Personal Interview: Candidates based on the performance in GATE (from 2022 onwards) / IMET 2024 will be called for Personal Interview at ICFAI Tech, IFHE, Hyderabad on August 21, 2024.
