About IBS
ICFAI Business School (IBS), Hyderabad is a constituent of IFHE (The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education), a Deemed-to-be-University, declared by the UGC, under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. It has been ranked among the top business schools in India, consistently for the past few years. Silicon India ranked IBS, Hyderabad as Second in their All India Ranking of non- IIM Business schools-2014.

The school has an excellent Case Research Center which has a repository of 5000+ cases covering all areas of management. Some of the IIMs and leading business schools in India and abroad use the cases developed by the Institute.
Apart from contributing to regular courses leading to the award of degrees, our faculty members also offer MDPs to executives and undertake research and consultancy projects. The institute holds International Conferences in all areas of management. The institute offers a Ph.D. degree program that is rigorous and known for its high-quality inputs. IBS Hyderabad has state-of-the-art infrastructure at its campus spread across 94 acres located near Dontapalli, Shankarpalli Road, Hyderabad. The school offers BBA, MBA, and Ph.D. programs.
About the Conference
International Conference on Operations Management (ICOM) is a flagship conference of the Department of Operations and IT, ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad. Three editions of ICOM have been successfully conducted in the past receiving participation from various eminent institutions from Indian and abroad including both academicians and practitioners. ICOM-2022 is the fourth edition in the series. ICOM-2022 is designed to disseminate the latest advancements and research work in the area of operations management and allied areas to the global audience.
Objectives of the Conference
International Conference on Operations Management Digitalization: A new Age of Business Innovations & Decision-Making aims for greater insights from the leading academicians, managers, scientists, researchers, and practitioners interested in theoretical and practical aspects of Digitalization in operations management and decision science. It also provides an interdisciplinary platform to discuss and present the advanced research trends, innovations, and challenges in the field of Operations Management.
About the Operations and IT Department
The Department of Operations and Information Technology came into existence in 1995. The department is a part of IBS Hyderabad, the Faculty of Management of the University. The department has two major areas of focus – Operations and Information Technology. Currently, the department has forty-one faculty members involved in teaching, research, and administration.
Teaching
The department offers various courses as part of the Ph.D. in Management, MBA, BBA, and BBA-LLB (Hons.) programs of the University. The department also academically contributes to the Workshops/Faculty Development Programs and Management Development Programs of the Centre for Management Development of the University.
Research and Publications
The major thrust areas in which research activities are being pursued are Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Project Management, Information Security, e-Governance, Analytics, and Decision Support Systems. Faculty members of the department have published research papers in reputed peer-reviewed national and international journals such as Information and Management, Intelligent Information Systems, Business Theory and Practice, Requirements Engineering, Information Technology, etc. Besides, the faculty members have published many books and chapters/articles in original/edited books, conference proceedings, etc.
Call for Papers
We invite original papers (full length or extended abstracts or abstracts) from academicians, industry professionals, research scholars, and independent consultants/professionals from NGOs, for paper presentation and subsequent possible publication in the proceedings of the conference. We also encourage case studies related to operations management and related areas.

Paper Submission Guidelines
Abstract / Extended Abstract / Full Paper can be submitted through e-mail at: icom2022@ibsindia.org
- All the submissions abstract/full paper will be double-blind peer-reviewed
- Abstract must have 300-500 words and 4-6 keywords in Times new roman 12 pt. font size
- Names of author(s) and their credentials should be mentioned clearly in the abstract below the title of the paper
- The abstract should include: the purpose of the research, motivation, methodology, main results, and practical implication. However, for practice papers, authors may include business context, analytical problem, proposed solution, and insights
- The authors should clearly indicate the theme under which they want their abstract/full paper to be considered. Conceptual Papers/ Empirical Papers/ Theoretical Papers should be between 4000-9000 words long while Case Studies/ White Papers/ Practice Papers may be of 1500-3000 words
- The full papers should be submitted in MS-Word format, Times New Roman 12 points font size, with a 1.5 line spacing. The Title/ Cover Page shall contain the details of Paper Title, Author(s), Affiliation(s), Contact Details (E-mail ID and/or Phone Number)
- Based on merit and quality of presentation/paper, the author may be invited to submit the full paper for journal publication
- All the accepted abstracts will be published in the ISBN proceedings
